The Doors have reportedly sent Kendall and Kylie Jenner a cease-and-desist letter over their controversial T-shirt range.
According to Rolling Stone the American rock band sent the letter after an unauthorised image of The Doors' logo with Kendall’s face superimposed on it went on sale.
The Jenner sisters landed in hot water on Thursday after a ‘vintage’ T-shirt range from their clothing brand went on sale. The T-shirt selection included images of musicians such as Ozzy Osbourne, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.
The cease-and-desist letter states: “The Doors have recently learned that Kendall + Kylie are selling shirts using the Protected Property without the Doors' authorisation or consent.
“Your use of the registered trademarks in commerce is likely to cause confusion, mistake or to deceive consumers into believing that the Kendall + Kylie apparel was authorised by the Doors when no such authorisation was sought or provided by the Doors.”
The letter further states that Kendall and Kylie’s unauthorised use of the logo could potentially damage the band’s reputation and/or their trademark.

Jeff Jampol, who manages The Doors, told Rolling Stone: “This is a case of people who fashion themselves as celebrities who are famous for being well-known but don't actually do anything, trying to utilise and steal and capitalise on the legacies of those who actually did do something and created amazing art and messages.”
Per the letter, Kendall and Kylie were given until Saturday, 1 July to comply with the band’s request to stop sales of the T-shirt, recall all merchandise from distributors and to provide an account for all proceeds received from T-shirts already sold.
Following bad publicity and reactions last Thursday, Kendall and Kylie shared a public apology on social media and removed the T-shirt range from their brand’s website.
